Introducing workwear in the workplace
In seven steps: requirements analysis, product range proposal, samples and fitting, size survey, approval for printing, production and delivery. We deliver unprinted stock items within 5 to 7 working days, and finished goods within 12 to 14 working days; a complete initial project involving consultation and fittings requires a correspondingly longer lead time.
Read the answer →What is the difference between Corporate Fashion and workwear?Corporate Fashion or work clothes?
Corporate Fashion Features: stylish cuts, lighter fabrics, a professional appearance for customers. Classic workwear offers protection and durability: robust fabrics, functional details and — where necessary — certified safety standards. Many businesses need both, such as sturdy trousers combined with a smart polo shirt.

There are two options for a set of shirts: printed branded shirts from our range, which are available from as little as one item, or a completely bespoke design. Sublimation printing is available from as little as one item; a fully bespoke range, such as Kustom Made, starts at 50 items. Kustom offers clubs a 40 per cent discount on the catalogue prices of the team sports brands Jako, Erima and Craft. Names cost CHF 10 to 12, and numbers CHF 8 per jersey.
Read the answer →How do you set up a company shop for workwear? Our own company shop for workwear
A corporate shop is a dedicated online shop featuring your company’s approved, ready-to-wear garments. Employees can order items in their own sizes independently; Kustom handles warehousing, finishing and dispatch. For Corporate Wear customers, this shop solution is free of charge and goes live around a week after the product range has been approved. We currently operate around 165 such shops.
Read the answer →Who provides all the equipment for an event?Planning event branding
Event branding covers perimeter boards, banners, flags, roll-ups, backdrops and large-format printing, plus crew clothing and promotional material. Which material and printing method we use depends on where the finished item will end up — an indoor setting has different requirements from an outdoor one. Formats are almost freely selectable. As a rule of thumb, allow a few weeks from print approval.

Production & responsibility
Sustainable workwear
Three factors are key: verified product certificates, traceable production conditions and the transport route. Kustom displays the OEKO-TEX STANDARD 100 certification on its shop products and has maintained its own Swiss purchasing office in Shenzhen since 2011, which personally inspects factories before entering into any agreements. Everything else — material choices, lifespan, transport — needs to be honestly weighed up rather than advertised in general terms.
Read the answer →What certifications are available for textiles and promotional items — and what do they signify?Standards and Certificates
The labels fall into three groups: social standards assess working conditions (BSCI, SMETA, SA8000, WRAP, Fair Wear), whilst environmental and material standards assess chemicals and fibres (OEKO-TEX, GOTS, GRS, REACH, FSC), and product safety marks governing market authorisation (CE, UKCA). No single label covers everything — it is only the combination that gives a complete picture.
Read the answer →Is ‘Made in Europe’ the more sustainable choice?Made in Europe or Asia?
Not automatically. If the sewing workshop is based in Europe but the raw materials come from overseas without proof of origin, there is still a lack of transparency. What matters is not the origin label, but whether someone knows and monitors the entire supply chain. Kustom deliberately sources through China — with its own office on the ground that personally inspects factories.
Read the answer →Where can the greatest CO₂ savings be made in corporate clothing?Reducing CO₂ emissions from corporate clothing
In transport — through planning, not by cutting back. Choosing sea freight over air freight can reduce CO₂ emissions by up to 95 per cent. Smart consolidation rather than half-full loads saves around 30 per cent of transport volume annually, whilst efficient supplier selection reduces emissions by up to 45 per cent per delivery. Because we carry out finishing work in-house, this also eliminates up to 3,000 kilometres of transport per order.
Read the answer →Is recycled polyester worth it for corporate clothing?Recycled polyester
In most cases, yes. The production of recycled polyester uses 59 per cent less energy than virgin polyester — whilst maintaining the same high quality. The recycled content is verified via GRS or RCS. It is important to note, however, that the environmental benefit only counts if the garment is then worn for a long time.
Read the answer →How can we reduce the amount of packaging material used when posting textiles?Packaging in the textile retail sector
Three key approaches: the right box size, bulk packaging instead of individual bags, and recyclable materials. Bespoke boxes save up to 60 per cent on filling material, as no air is shipped along with the goods. 95 per cent of our packaging is recyclable or reusable.
Read the answer →How is quality assured for textile orders?Quality assurance in production
Through three fixed inspection stages: the pre-production check before manufacturing, the in-line inspection during production, and the final inspection before packaging. Inspections are carried out by our own in-house team, who visit the production facility on average twice a week — not by relying on paperwork, but by looking closely.
Read the answer →What are the benefits of durable clothing compared to cheap goods?Sustainability rather than fast fashion
High-quality items are used for up to 300 per cent longer — meaning one durable item replaces several new purchases. Durability is the most effective way to combat waste, as it spreads the total cost of raw materials, production and transport over many years rather than just one season.
